The Teen Titans and Doom Patrol battle the Brotherhood of Evil, with Brain in a new cloned body. Brain explains that Robotman's body was originally made for *him*, that he was to be the Chief's first experiment, but Mallah saved him from that fate. He further contends that the explosion that destroyed his real body was caused by the Chief and motivated by jealousy. As the battle continues, it becomes apparent that the Brain's new body is dying. He and Mallah climb the Eiffel Tower so that he can see the sun with his own eyes; his body hurtles back down, without its head - Mallah has removed his brain and replaced it within the life support unit he has been using. At Dayton's mansion, the Chief offers Kid Devil a place on the Doom Patrol, suggesting that he is broken and needs to be fixed; the rest of the Doom Patrol comes to understand the Chief's manipulative nature, and rejects it. At Titans Tower, Cassie tries to decide whether she will return, Rose and Kid Devil have a conversation, and Cassie discovers that Robin has been trying to clone Superboy, unsuccessfully. They share an impromptu moment.
