Karnevil, one of the captive members of the Pentacle and a vicious and brilliant sociopath, has escaped the custody of Lord Colddrake. The enigmatic Dr. Gotham, whom the Pentacle served, has succeeded where his minions failed in conjuring his deity, The Sun King into our world. And Zauriel, God's angel turned hero, has been dispatched with the grim task of bringing death to the Blue Devil.
