The battle against the Black Lanterns rages in Coast City. Fortified by reinforcements for each Corps from the population of Earth, the various Lantern Corps are successfully dispatching Nekron's minions. But when the Spectre appears, even this doubled amount of light seems insufficient. Hal hatches a desperate gambit with Ganthet. As a Guardian, he can summon the power batteries of the four Earth-born Green Lanterns - the same four that hold portions of the Parallax entity. When Parallax was removed from Hal Jordan's spirit, the Spectre seemed to fear Parallax. Now Hal hopes to defeat the Black Lantern Spectre by joining with Parallax once again.
