Kyle heads back to his apartment to recharge his ring, only to find a furious Dr. Light has escaped the battery. Light leaves when he learns of the impending fate of the world, leaving Kyle behind to deal with his own issues, including his relationship with Donna Troy.
Note that this issue takes place between "Final Night #3" and "Parallax: Emerald Night."
