Kyle enlists the help of Donna Troy to unpack his apartment, and they learn a lot about each other's histories. After seeing her to the street, he finds himself saving his landlord from creatures that appear from a rift in an alley. Recognizing that they leave one possible target alone, Kyle ends one danger to the world by accidentally restoring another.
