Superman, Orion and Mr. Miracle assault Apokolips in an attempt to learn what Darkseid knows of the mysterious assassin preying upon the New Gods. Though his knowledge of the Anti-Life Equation allows Mr. Miracle control over Darkseid's actions, Darkseid's own knowledge of part of the equation is enough to keep the lord of Apokolips from giving his knowledge away. But while New Genesis' champions are attempting to gather information on Apokolips the assassin strikes again.
