Horus' mind is opened, and he learns that an energy-based alien life-form known as a Kheldian bonded with him after he was wounded during the Rikti invasion, granting him powers beyond those of his armor, or other gadgets. War Witch, Apex and the others break free of the Fifth Column's base as Horus escapes Crey Industries. After their escape, War Witch discovers Requiem murdering her coven on the astral plane.
