Superman has returned to Earth to honor Jonathan Kent. He's in Smallville, spending time with Ma and Connor when something draws their attention outside. The Blackest Night has come to Smallville, and the Black Lanterns of Kal-L and Lois Lane from Earth 2 are making their lives unpleasant.
