Scott has a nearly fatal encounter with the danger room when a program meant for others tests him to his limits. And the team decides to recruit a strange mutant with leaping ability, only to discover it's the Toad, and he has led them into a trap! From X-Men #46, continuing the story of how Iceman (Bobby Drake) became an X-Man. He had Scott are surrounded, and fearful townsfolk plan to "stretch their necks". Fortunately for them, Professor X arrives in time to intervene.
