This issue features numerous brief flashbacks to the time spent with Xavier and Magneto allied after Xavier left his family, recapping the creation of the Savage Land society, the falling out between the two leaders, and the price Xavier paid for striking out on his own. It culminates with the current and newly resolved Magneto preparing his next move.
