Emma Frost has a long history with Namor. Sebastian Shaw once tried to recruit Namor to the Hellfire Club, with Emma's help and manipulations. Emma is now using her position in Osborn's cabal, as well as her histories with Namor and Shaw, to take control of her future and run things according to her own agenda.
