The Chitauri leader captures Janet, and details their plans and machinations, confident in his inevitable victory. This is interrupted when his off-world superiors notify him of an attack throughout the galaxy, forcing the Chitauri occupiers to set a doomsday device and leave the planet. Before they can do so, they spot an anomaly in the photos taken of the region destroyed with the Ultimates inside. By the time they realize what this actually is, it's too late to respond.
