Eric is on duty when the Hulk returns from space to wreak his vengeance on the Illuminati. Monstro decides to stick around to pitch in, so Eric does so as well, but that's mostly for show before he starts the looting. His encounter with the Hulk does not go as planned, and he wakes up in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody.
