Lucifer has abdicated the Throne of Hell (as described in Sandman); this has created opportunities for demons. The one that used to be Anton Arcane escapes Hell and decides to visit his relative, Abby Holland. Ya Ya Dupin warns Swamp Thing of the coming trouble, but how can he fight an enemy inside his daughter's body?
