It's the eve of the school play, and Katchoo and Francine have grown closer rather quickly. Even though her father and brother disappoint Francine by not coming to see her in the play, Katchoo risks violating her suspension to be there.
After the traumatic events of the play come to their conclusion, Francine doesn't think she wants to see anybody. But when a badly beaten Katchoo crawls in through her window, she sees that someone has things much worse than she does.
