Having broken free of the version of Zenn-La created for him by the Mergence, the Surfer finds himself in the Macroverse, a universe containing other universes. Denied a return to Earth, he finds himself refreshed by a new, infinite frontier to explore.
Elsewhere, Alicia Masters is the prisoner of Tenebrae. With the Silver Surfer out of the way, the invasion of Earth can begin.
