The leaders of the lands under Queen Himoko's rule have gathered to speak on who should rule after the queen's death. They ask for Choesi to decide, which he tells them all that Iyo shall lead the country. At the mountain camp, Raika has recovered from his battle with Ikinameh and is deciding what his next move should be. Elsewhere Iyo sends her wolf Kiba to deliver a message to Raika to save her. Kiba and his wolf brethren are then confronted by Ikinameh, who begins his attack on them.
