Queen Himiko of Yamatai is dying, and Chosei's medicines are not helping. The closer she is to dying the closer Chosei is to succeeding her. Meanwhile Raika, Otaji, and Utsuki are out having fun when they interrupt Kijinohiko's attempt to rape Iyo. After a short battle Otaji's right arm is severed by Kijinohiko, but Raika comes to his rescue before he is killed. Kijinohiko escapes as Iyo has already run back to the palace and Raika, Otaji, and Utsuki are left pondering what to do next.
