Richard Rider, having escaped the Vore in "Nova, Vol. 4 #10," awakens 43 years in the future. The Transmode virus resurges once more, right when the rebuilt Nova Corps is about to mount a final assault to free Earth. Due to his illness, Nova is unable to join the battle.
