Lord Chronok has invaded from the future, with a huge army and a plan that's effectively taken out 90% of the known superheroes of the time, including the majority of the Avengers and the X-Men, and the entire Fantastic Four. With only a handful of scattered heroes left behind, there's not much of a resistance to mount.
