Unknown to almost everyone in the DC Universe, there now exists a multiverse consisting of 52 separate universes, each different, as a result of Mr. Mind's cosmic rampage. But all is not right within the Multiverse. Some people, like Duela Dent, exist on the wrong Earth. The Monitors exist to police such inconsistencies in the Multiverse, but one of them has gone too far. Upon seeing that Duela Dent was on the wrong Earth, one Monitor executed her for the inconsistency she represented. But even the lowliest person is an influence on the lives of others. Who can know what the end result of his rash action shall be?
